Food and Beverage Manager: Job Description


  • Efficient and diplomatic in dealing with situations involving any aspect of Food and Beverage where the reputation or image of the property is represented.
  • Plan Budgeting and Cost Control, implement programs, policies and procedures according to the Company’s Standard.
  • Monitor the profitability of all Food and Beverage Outlets and provide solutions to improve problem areas and assist in implementing corrective measures.
  • Help in developing new ideas and increase departmental sales of Food and Beverage to improve productivity.
  • Assist in the coordination of organizational and administrative functions in all areas of the Food and Beverage Department
  • Organize, direct and evaluate food and beverage service, promotions
  • Recruitment and training of staff
  • Shift scheduling
  • Performance management; monitor staff performance and provide feedback
  • Purchase and control of inventory
  • Monitor revenues and expenses
  • Ensure practice of heath and safety regulations
  • Budget preparation, manning control, productivity
  • Negotiate with clients for use of facilities for catering, parties, banquets, etc.
